In the plot, Frank Miller removed most of the story of the protagonist as a police officer before his death, and focused on his experience after he became The Spirit. In addition, he also changed the background in the original work that was set in the 1940s and early 1950s to a sense of no iconic era. The streets in the film look very old, but the technology used by people is modern.
In terms of role, Frank Miller believes that the character of The Spirit has a frightening side, which is resurrected from the dead. So there is a fantasy element in it, there are many beauties in the film, and he and these women are entangled. They love him, and he loves them too, a little bit sentimental.
On the screen, the film mainly uses three colors of black, gray and red. The entire film was shot in front of the green screen in the studio
