"The Rookie" is about a true legend about a dream come true. The main character, Jim Morris (played by Dennis Quaid), grew up dreaming of showing his abilities in Major League Baseball , but 12 years ago he had an unexpected shoulder Injured, so his professional baseball career was cut off from the dream, so he had to give up this long-standing dream, to serve as their chemistry teacher and baseball team coach in a high school in Big Lake, Texas, and also married and had children. Family has become the most important element in his life, and that distant dream of professional baseball is now farther and farther away from him.
