Fifteen-year-old Egg grew up in a world where evildoing is okay, and under-the-table transactions are the normal order. One day, an illegal West African worker hired by his father fell from a building and died; his father tried to hide the truth by bleeding him to death in order to save him from justice. Before the hired laborer dies, Egg promises to take care of his orphans and widows. Since then, his worry-free world has collapsed, his pure allegiance to his father is no longer, and his sense of guilt and justice is sunny and hazy
