Director Asghar Farhadi’s work "A Parting" won many honors at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival. The producer hoped that he could write a similar script again, so after on-site inspections, Fahadi brewed one that took place in France and France. Female-centered story, two male actors of Arab origin have emotional entanglements with them. The script creation process of the film is non-linear. Director Asghar Farhadi put several stories together in his mind, and then made these stories have similar backgrounds, and then combined several stories together. After having the initial idea of the script, I started to dig out the plot and story bit by bit, and finally completed the script.
The script of the film is not inspired by the director's real life. The characters dealt with by the director and screenwriter Asghar Farhadi are always in a certain uncertain environment, walking in the gray area between life and death and searching for meaning or truth. The role he set is always struggling in a dilemma, and always has to choose between two destinies.
