When World War II breaks out, a young Jewish boy is sent to an unnamed Eastern European village to try to survive. In the process, the little boy experiences a series of atrocities. The local peasants were afraid that the little boy was the devil and tortured him in every possible way. There was even a time when a little boy had a fever and was buried in the ground by a witch on the grounds of "cure", hoping to reduce the fever through this method. The boy survived, either because he was buried in the ground or for some other reason - but before the witch came back to dig him out, he was attacked by the crow, who pecked him bloody. Despite this, the little boy did not leave the countryside here, but gradually deepened. No matter how much people insisted he didn't belong here, he didn't leave
