Director David Farr's handling of things is as eerie accurate as the film "The Ones Below". The design of the couple’s apartment is in full compliance with their respective natures. Photographer Ed Rutherford’s camera traverses between them, clever and precise, continuous and fascinating. Chris Wyatt edited all these clips together seamlessly, each editing created a tense atmosphere, and as each second passed, it became more and more tightly wrapped around the audience.
The film showed its trump card prematurely, which should have been a traumatic revelation, but on the contrary, it is creepy and uneasy. It is precisely because of the performance of the actors, especially the performances of Percy and Byrne, that the final moments are as shocking as they finally did. The film is a powerful thriller, and every time there is a turning point that the audience expects.
