In order to shoot, the film crew made a lot of preliminary preparations, and it took two years to go back to the same year, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Cuba. During this journey, the film crew faced Guevara's family and met Albert, who was still alive in his 80s, in Havana. The crew came from various regions in Latin America. The filming of this film also took the same 8 months as Che Guevara’s journey that year. There were more than 30 shooting locations, including the Andes mountains below minus several degrees and those over 45 degrees Celsius. The Amazon River and the leprosy hospital where Che Guevara stayed for 3 weeks
. Photographers try to adopt a simple and direct language in the shooting process. Most of the time, their thinking is to follow what they see and hear along the way, instead of following the established shooting plan
