According to reports, the 47-minute candid footage of Marilyn Monroe's posthumous work "The Misfits" was exhibited at the film memorabilia auction in Los Angeles on June 21, 2008, US time. The original starting price was scheduled to be 10,000 to 2 Ten thousand U.S. dollars, and finally sold for 60,000 U.S. dollars. The footage is composed of two rolls of 8mm film with no sound, including some actors' live scenes when they are preparing to shoot, behind-the-scenes footage, and back-to-back footage. The main actors of "The Misfits" are Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable . Coincidentally, the film is the complete legacy of the two superstars, making this sneaky short film extremely valuable.
