The film crew built Qiuzhuang, an important scene in the original work, on a cliff by the sea in Dalian. Qiu Zhuang on the cliff has two floors from east to west, a sea-crossing bridge between the two floors, stone steps in the mountains and a wooden terrace on the cliff, all of which were carried up the mountain by the crew and made by hand. The construction of the two buildings in Qiuzhuang took two and a half months. The 65-meter-long sea-crossing bridge needs to be built out of thin air between the cliffs. The staff erected a 100-meter-high scaffold vertically from the bottom of the sea, which took several months to complete

In order to let the audience feel the prosperity of the mansion Qiu Zhuang in the original work, the interior scene of Qiu Zhuang built by the crew collected nearly 5,000 props. There are more than 4,000 books on the bookshelf alone, and the total value of antique props exceeds 4.7 million yuan. Much of the furniture and tableware were collected from antique collectors across the country
