If it weren't for Uncle Colin and Vichy's hostess, this film would have been abandoned midway, which would be boring. I personally feel that this is not a real-life story worthy of being adapted into a movie. Even though it is discussing lies, deceit and pity, and the driving force and sadness behind it, the filming is too plain. Typical British biographical rhythm, lethargic.
