On November 6, 1973, five months after the release of "007", director Guy Hamilton led his inherent production team to start the filming of "The Man with the Golden Gun" in Hong Kong.
When the film started, the scenes with James Bond appeared were all done by the stand-in Mike LaWitt, and Roger Moore did not join the shooting team until April 1974. Screenwriter Tom Mankinwicz claimed that he had lost his inspiration and decided to quit, and the producer let Richard Mabe back into battle. Ian Lancaster Fleming's cousin and ball mate Christopher Lee won the role of "Man with the Golden Gun" Scamanga. The crew then began to look for two heroines, Swedish actresses Britt Akram and Mudd Adams as the mistresses of "Miss Goodnight" and the Golden Gun Man, respectively.
In April 1974, the crew started filming in Thailand, and the crew subsequently filmed on Phuket. In order to find the ideal location, even a local brothel was used for filming. At the end of April, the crew moved to Hong Kong, and the filming took place in the luxurious Longyuan Manor. In addition to gambling recreational activities, Roger Moore has to deal with a lot of action scenes. At the end of May, the crew began to film the ship chasing on the canals in Bangkok, Thailand. Also on this canal, the crew completed the filming of the most difficult stunt scene of the film on June 1st. The 360-degree flip and fly over, the spiral speeder only took one shot and passed. The crew returned to the Pinewood studio in London at the end of June, where they filmed the interior scenes of the small island of Skamanga on the Pinewood studio, and filmed the Skamanga flying car at the Bowington Airport. At the end of July, the crew began to prepare to shoot the most imaginative scene in the film, the duel between Skamanga and 007, while the second shooting team was shooting the final explosion scene
