James Marsh wanted to make a movie similar to "Dance of Death Row", so he contacted the screenwriter of "Dance of Death Row," Melo Adika. Marsh and Adika met in Corpus Christi, Texas, because the place name and the local Gothic refinery itself contained drama, and both of them had a soft spot for dark and dangerous story materials. Marsh and Edika began to conceive stories, complementing each other, and their same understanding of biblical stories made the two quickly decide to design Cain and Abel's tragedies. The Southern Cultural Movement in the United States has always been popular in Gothic styles, presenting horror, violent, dark and weird styles, which have become unique movie elements.
