The Jane Austen Book Club movie plot

Jocelyn, who claims to have never been in a relationship, considers a dog to be the most faithful companion. But the departure of her dog made her sad. Friend Bernadette decides to bring her friends together for Jocelyn to start a six-member "The Jane Austen Book Club". The third person to join the book club was Sylvia, who raised three children. Sylvia's husband, Danny, is out of the woods and would rather end the marriage than pursue a new relationship. Sylvia's daughter, Allegra, is at a young age. She is a homosexual who likes to pursue excitement. She participates in the book club just to accompany her mother. Prudy, a high school French teacher, falls in love with her student after a problem with her husband. The last member of the book club was a man, and Greg, a software engineer, met Jocelyn by chance in a hotel elevator. Every month, members of "The Jane Austen Book Club" get together to discuss a Jane Austen book. Every member seems to find resonance in Jane Austen's work .
