Sheriff Gerry Boyle is a strange man with a bad temper. He has no sense of humor and has a strange personality. Because he works in County Galway all the year round, he knows the whole area well. He has seen too many stories of joys and sorrows, so he never considered the meaning of the world. When this quiet town became a key location for a huge drug dealing case, Boyle had to cooperate with FBI agent Wendell, who was less humorous, to investigate. Working on his own land, he didn't put the FBI in his eyes at all. Wendell is a typical American, abiding by time and rules, working steadily and trying to bring criminals to justice. He didn't want to know the criminals and the local background, he just wanted to solve the case. He looked down on Boyle, thinking he was just a small police officer at the most basic level. On the other hand, Boyle felt Wendell was too nerdy, doing everything according to books and dogma, and didn't understand how real life works. Although it seems that Boyle does not want to help Wendell solve the case, he still brings a lot of convenience to Wendell's work. Boyle found some traces about the case and sorted out the facts of the case little by little. Then, strange things hit one after another. First, Boyle’s partner disappeared, then his favorite prostitute asked him to turn a blind eye to the case, and finally the drug dealer himself interceded, hoping Boyle can let him go---it looks like the drug dealer has penetrated into the police station, and only Boyle doesn't know it yet.
The weird Boyle felt that things were weird, so he decided to investigate the whole case with his own hands. At this moment, in the boundaries of County Galway, the only person he can trust is Wendell, who he doesn't like. Can they abandon the suspicion, solve the case together, and find the black hand behind the scenes?
