In 1898, bridge construction expert John Henry Patterson accepted an invitation from a company to build a bridge over the Tsavo River in Africa to build a railway. After bidding farewell to his pregnant wife, John embarked on an adventurous trip to Africa.
Just after arriving in Tsavo, John discovered the problem. The workers here show a panic expression during the work process, because the lion, the man-eater that often appears in the middle of the night, threatens the lives of the workers all the time. Under the leadership of the local coordinator Samuel, John came to the hospital to visit the injured worker. In order to boost the morale of the workers, John hid in the top of the tree late at night and shot and killed the lion. John became a hero in the hearts of the workers, and his prestige was instantly established.
However, within a few days, Massina, the strongest among the workers, was dragged away by the cannibals. When John and his assistants found him, there was nothing left but the shell. Soon another worker who went out for a walk in the middle of the night disappeared. Judging from the traces left on the scene and the appearance of the worker's body, this man-eater does not look like an ordinary lion. The workers began to panic, and John felt strange in his heart. He asked all the workers not to leave the tent at night. Fortunately, after a week has passed, there have been no more casualties of workers, and everyone is a little relieved.
Unexpectedly, a lion broke into the construction site one afternoon and killed the worker. There was chaos at the scene, and John took Samuel and his assistants and rushed towards the lion. But none of them knew that there were only two lions acting alone in the dark this time. In an instant, John's assistant died tragically in the mouth of a lion. John felt guilty and sad for this. He vowed to kill these two guys to avenge the workers.
The scary thing is that no matter what method John thinks of, the two lions seem to understand John's intentions, and John can't do anything about them. More than forty people have died in Lion’s mouth within a short period of time. People named the two lions Night and Ghost, and in the eyes of the workers, they are the incarnation of the devil. At this time, Charlie Remington, who made a living by hunting, brought local indigenous people to the construction site. Together with John, he designed traps and used cattle as bait to attract lions, but the two lions attacked the workers’ temporary hospital. Suddenly, the cries for help and cries were shaking, and the workers suffered heavy casualties. Although Charles Remington brought with him the Maasai tribe known for its lion hunting, he still couldn't find a clue.
Since then, the workers have all left the construction site like escaping the plague, only Samuel and Remington stayed with John. They found a lot of human remains in a hole, and at this moment an unprecedented fear enveloped their hearts. John used architectural common sense to build the high platform, and the three of them worked together and successfully hunted down one of the two lions. That night John and Remington drank to celebrate, but when John woke up early the next morning, he found that Remington had been silently killed by another lion.
Angry John wrestled with the remaining lion alone. In the end, courage and wisdom defeated the evil beast. John avenged the workers who lost their lives in the mouth of the lion, and the construction site resumed work
