New York Radio’s music show host, Jack Lucas, received a call from a person named Edwin. He responded improperly and induced Edwin to shoot at customers in the bar, causing many casualties. Jack felt guilty for this, and he was frustrated ever since. One day, Jack accidentally met Parry, a professor of medieval history who is now a beggar. Parry tells Jack that he must retrieve the Holy Grail that Jesus used at the Last Supper. He believed that the Holy Grail was hidden in the bookcase of billionaire Langdon Carmichael. Jack dismissed Parry as a lunatic. But he felt very guilty when he learned that Parry's wife was also a victim of Edwin's bullet and that Parry was insane due to excessive grief and went into the lunatic asylum. He found that Parry was loving his secretary Lydia hopelessly. Parry told Jack the mythical story of the fisher king: how the fisher king lost his health, faith and love after losing the Holy Grail. Jack is determined to help Parry and Lydia in order to make atonement. He invited them to dinner together. After the meal, Parry sent Lydia home, and they kissed for the first time. However, when Parry returned to his humble hut, he was severely beaten by the rogue and sent to the hospital. Jack is determined to take back the Holy Grail to save Parry. He went to Langdon Carmichael's house to find the cup and rushed to the hospital with it. Parry finally earned himself from the pain of losing his wife and regained his self-awareness. He was reunited with Lydia
