The Event movie plot
2022-02-07 15:00
The story follows ordinary man Sean Walker (played by Jason Ritter) as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée Leila (played by Sarah Roemer), who becomes involved in a huge political conspiracy and uncovers the biggest secret in American history. Sean's words, deeds and actions will have an unexpected impact on a group of seemingly unconnected people, including: Martinez (Blair Underwood), the newly elected US president, and first lady Christina (Lisa Vidal); Sophia (Laura Innes), a political prisoner in a secret prison in Alaska, is also the leader of a mysterious group; Sean's father-in-law (Scott Patterson), a man with a very complex background; CIA director Blake Sterling (Zeljko Ivanek) played); CIA agent Simon Lee (played by Ian Anthony Dale) associated with Sophia. The play conveys the idea that "the power of one person is enough to shake the earth". Sean's personal problems morph into a national conspiracy, and America's secret quickly becomes a global one -- a secret that could change the fate of all humanity. The show is currently No. 1 on Twitter's Top New Shows list, and is likely to be the next "24" or "Lost." But some analysts pointed out that the risk of failure of the show is also high. In the first episode, Sean Walker takes his girlfriend Leila on vacation and proposes to her, and they plan to board a super cruise ship to celebrate the romantic moment. They met some strangers on the cruise ship and went diving with them. In the evening, Sean Walker returned to the room to find that his fiancée had mysteriously disappeared. The security guards on the cruise ship thought Sean was a major suspect and were going to arrest him. During his escape, Sean discovers that a mysterious force is also looking for him. Meanwhile, new U.S. President Martinez is considering taking the "big story" public, but CIA Director Blake Sterling urged the president not to do so. The first episode did not reveal what the "big event" actually was.
