Brazil is a country paralyzed by a military dictatorship. In 1985, Brazil established a democratic foundation. In 2002, it elected Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a very popular steel worker who turned into a political activist. Under his leadership, 20 million Brazilians were lifted out of poverty, and Brazil gained international fame. In 2010, Lula passed the presidential baton to his successor, a female guerrilla named Dilma Rousseff.
However, behind their sunny heritage, populist anger and institutional corruption spread to mainstream society, most of which were instigated by a party judge who provided sensational corruption reports to the news media. The report is aimed at Lula, Dilma, and others who refuse to please powerful politicians and special interest groups.
