Climatologist Jack Hall () after observing prehistoric climate research indicates that global warming caused by the greenhouse effect will lead to an unprecedented global catastrophe. Dr. Jack had warned government officials to take preventive action, but the warning was obviously too late. Dr. Jack Hall then urged the Vice President of the United States to announce that all American people south of 30 degrees north latitude should evacuate to the equator as soon as possible, and people north of the line should keep as warm as possible.
Just at this time, Dr. Hall that his son Sam () and moved to New York to rescue his girlfriend, so decided to take forward the New York rescue operations in ice and snow. At this time, the disaster began in New York, and Manhattan skyscrapers were hit by a strong cyclone and most of them were destroyed. Suddenly, violent torrents flooded in the subway tunnel. The flood swallowed New York, flooded the United States, and Europe ceased to exist under the flood. After that, ice and snow covered the entire surface of the earth, and the ice age began.
When the camera returned to the United States, those Americans who survived fled to Mexico, begging to enter the refugee camps there. At the end of the film, the President of the United States had to sigh and admit that the climate policy he pursued was a huge failure.
