Ogden Marsh Town’s governing and maintaining social security chief, David Bartonmanages a rural American town that satisfies all your imagination. It is a happy, law-abiding resident. However, just one night, everything seemed to be gone: first, a man walked into the field of a school baseball game with a shotgun full of ammunition in his hand, and his face was decisive before the killing. And cold; then another man locked his wife and young son in the storage room of the house and set fire to the whole house. Within a few days, the originally beautiful town suddenly became a disgusting gathering place for mental illness. The once calm and kind residents became corrupt and evil one by one, becoming bloodthirsty and cruel murderers. Hidden in a dark corner with a gun or weapon, waiting for an opportunity. David tried his best to try to figure out what happened and what caused these unprecedented horror and absurd acts of violence to gradually increase. He keenly felt that unusual things seemed to be happening in the town. An invisible, colorless, and tasteless virus was spreading and infecting among the residents, making them unconsciously trapped in their own way. In a state of madness.
Everyone in the small town succumbed to this unknown toxin, and then turned into cruel and violent lunatics, causing the originally peaceful place to fall into a chaos that no one could stop. In order to control these crazy sources of infection, the government decided to use powerful military forces and issued a "lore order." Infected and sane residents. This small group of sane people found themselves locked in a small town, unable to leave. They were: David and his pregnant wife Judy; Beka, An assistant physician at a medical center; and Russell, David’s lieutenant and right-hand man--they were forced to stay together, and on a seemingly ordinary night, they set out to survive. In a terrible desperate fight, they must make every effort to escape the town, because only in this way can they have a chance to survive
