"Festen" is the number one work of the Dogma95 standard. The content of the film is very traditional and is a typical family drama. The whole film is lackluster in structure and shooting, and the actors' performances are also lacking in highlights. Pretty awesome, childish incest theme. However, it is a bit ironic that the first Dogme was optically processed and digitally shot (the 9th article of the declaration was later changed to 35mm release)...and the paragraphs where dreams and memories are intertwined are also considered bold. Very catchy family drama, the play and performance are very good. Perhaps it is such excellent event choreography that makes it easier to accept more "avant-garde" forms of expression.
