Felix Van Groeningen's film adopts the method of braiding old things and new things to create a special tension. In this structure, the most feared is that the foreword is not followed by the words. Fortunately, Felix Van Groeningen did it very naturally. There are many passages in the movie, but each passage is appropriate and expresses the emotions of the time well. The most colorful and impactful part of the film is the last chorus of Didier and Alice. When the band finished playing, Didier gave a very sharp and shocking speech on Christianity. This is probably one of the most offensive episodes in film history. The director’s way of weaving sad and light twists, and the band always appearing at the right time, singing accurately, make the story of this film maintain its clean dignity, sad but not sad.
"The Broken Circle Breakdown" honestly restores the contradictions and impermanence pains that do exist in real life. The pain overflows from the screen, and leaks from the collapse and despair of Alice. These things shocked the audience and made the audience aware. The relativity of life and love and hate. The meaning of this film is to let the audience watch the truth and tragedy, realize the limitations of human emotions and relationships, and that human emotions are not omnipotent in the face of fate.
