Terminator Salvation negative reviews

The film was released in North America at a poor box office, and the most criticized part of it was the characterization. The screenwriters set a pitiful little dialogue for the characters, and most of them are dispensable slogan languages. The lack of dialogue, in other words, means the lack of necessary emotional communication between the characters, which makes both the robot Marcus and the Resistance under the leadership of the savior lack aura. Why did Blair throw his arms so casually and risk his life to betray his partner? What kind of driving force was Marcus driven by the great act of sacrificing himself and changing his heart to John Connor. Due to the lack of the necessary emotional foundation, the hero's role looks too "perfect" but illogical.
Although for Hollywood blockbusters that show off visual effects, shocking scenes are the total weight, and "Terminator 2018", which accounts for at least two-thirds of the action scenes, does deliver a good one in this regard. Answer sheet. But just luxurious special effects are definitely not enough to make a film a classic, and in terms of connotation, "Terminator 2018" is much shallower than the previous one.
This completely predictable story seems to be written by a computer program called "sequel".
The film has no brain, no soul, and it is a headache. ()
"Terminator 2018" is a messy and monotonous film lacking a sense of humor. From the leading role to the set designer, no one intends to sting the film's arrogance. ()
A message to Hollywood: Don’t make this kind of time travel movies anymore. ()
The whole film is more like a machine. (by)
How can a great idea become such a terrible mistake? ()
The robot came forward, and what's too bad is that the drama element is too mechanical. ()
Just in line with the audience's expectations, but not much, the gloomy effect in the film did not make up for the lack of imagination. ()

Terminator Salvation quotes

  • John Connor: Who built you?

Marcus Wright: [Held suspended in chains] My name is... Marcus Wright.

John Connor: You think you're human.

    Marcus Wright: I am human.

[Connor steps forward, releases the chain holding Wright's head up, and looks down at his chest. Wright looks down at himself]

    Marcus Wright: Noooooo!

    [Horrified]

    Marcus Wright: Nooo! Ahhhhhh!

    [struggles against the chains]

John Connor: Where were you manufactured?

Marcus Wright: I was *born*. August 22, 1975.

[Screams again and fights against the chains, then looks at Connor]

Marcus Wright: I know you. I heard your voice on the radio. You're John Connor.

John Connor: Of course, you know me. You were sent here to kill me.

Marcus Wright: I don't know what you're talking about.

John Connor: Then why are you here?

Marcus Wright: Blair said you could help me find who I'm looking for.

    [pause]

Marcus Wright: Now let me down.

John Connor: If I let you down, you'll kill everyone in this room.

Marcus Wright: [with one shake of his head] Just you, Connor. I didn't even know your name until two days ago.

John Connor: No. You and me. We been at war since before either of us existed. You tried killing my mother, Sarah Connor. You killed my father, Kyle Reese. You *will* not kill me.

Marcus Wright: Kyle Reese is on a transporter heading for Skynet. If I wanted to kill him, I would've done him in LA.

  • John Connor: What *are* you?

    Marcus Wright: I don't know.
