"The Train Stranger" is one of Alfred Hitchcock's most brutal and thrilling works, telling a horror story that may happen. The whole film is compact and exciting. Death and crisis that come at any time threaten the protagonist, making people thrilling and creepy. Director Hitchcock told the audience a true and credible crime story with his peculiar "murder exchange" concept. The filming technique of the film is delicate and true. The whole film is full of black and fantasy spirit, especially the lighters, glasses and other life props that appear in the film many times, which shortens the distance between the film and the audience, making it difficult for the audience to distinguish between true and false. Although there are few thrilling scenes in the film, the successful psychological portrayal, breathless scenes and atmosphere, intensifying contradictions, gradual deepening of suspense and excellent picture processing make people feel more horrible and real. The film deeply reveals the gloom of the inner world of human beings. In the film, Anthony is a weird and crazy criminal with a high IQ, while Kaihen is an ordinary person constrained by social morality.
