It tells the story of the 5-member Clone Troop No. 99, also known as the Outlier Squad or the "Defective" Squad. They are not made up of ordinary clone soldiers. They are a highly skilled team that completes every task perfectly. Often they were sent on highly specialized missions, rather than assisting the Grand Army of the Republic against the Separatists.
The elite and experimental clones of the Exotic Squad find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy just after the end of the Clone Wars. The "Defective" members are a unique team of clones who are genetically different from their brothers in the clone army, each possessing a unique special skill that makes them special soldiers and formidable crew members
