Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith Director Cameo

Although the people of the "Star Wars" crew have encouraged George Lucas to make a face in his space fantasy saga for many years, the screenwriter and director has always refused. He didn't change his mind until the last few months of the production of the film. At the insistence of his daughter Katie Lucas, Lucas walked to the camera and played the role of the blue-skinned Baron Papanoida. Katie herself plays MP Kay Eckway in the movie. The costume worn by Lucas was originally designed by Li Sangjun (transliteration) and sewn by Tereza Bige and her team. Lucas' shots were shot in front of a green screen and then synthesized into the clips originally shot at Shepperton Studios. Although he first named his character Baron Notlowski, he later named him Baron Papanoida. The name was once pronounced by Mace Windu in the film ("We contacted Baron Papanoida, and he said that there was no one there.") but this indirect reference to the name was edited out.
