Three Emmy winners John Wells (six Emmys for Best Producer and Best Screenplay), Ann Biderman (Emmy for Best Screenplay) and Chris Chulack (Emmy for Best Director, for "ER" ) co-produced the new drama " Southland " tells the story of a Los Angeles police force with real, candid imagery. From Marley Step Beach to East Los Angeles, Southland takes you deep into the lives of police officers, criminals, victims and their families. John Cooper, played by Michael Cudlitz ("River of Love"), is a veteran police officer tasked with escorting young "rookie" Ben Sherman (played by "Orange City" star Ben McKenzie). But Cooper's integrity and seriousness made Sherman wonder if he had the potential to be a police officer.
