This film tells the story of Lily, a female music teacher who was denied promotion due to gender discrimination in 1907. She resigned to visit her sister in a mountain village, but she found that the mountain village where her sister lived was well preserved and preserved a lot of quaint Scottish and Irish folk music. Lily saw the promise of academic achievement and ignited the confidence to return to school. So she did everything possible to collect local folk songs to achieve academic success, and at the same time, she inevitably integrated into the simple and mysterious mountain people.
