Troy Holloway wakes up to find himself trapped in a drifting escape pod flying towards the sun, and he quickly realizes his situation and feels terrified. With the rapid depletion of oxygen and a burn rate of 90 minutes, Commander Roberts leads a rescue team to save Holloway before time runs out. Holloway, who recently lost his son and now faces the end of his life, has less of a passion for survival. But Roberts only speaks to him over a weak radio signal, determined to save his own life, and the two soon discover that their respective lives are affecting the other in unexpected ways
