It has to be said that it is a boring film. The male protagonist watches Lake One Fin Clock at the beginning and Lake One Fin Clock at the end. However, the soundtrack, Dutch genre paintings and weightlessness scenes are all wonderful. The female protagonist is Ayanami Rei, the first generation, the second generation... abbreviated. It seems that Anno did draw a lot of inspiration from Solaris, and expressed it in a way that is more acceptable to pop culture and the younger generation.

#SIFF# A pseudo (anti) sci-fi film that is very different from Kubrick. For Tarkovsky, the universe is a mirror-like existence in which humans realize the limits of their own knowledge. There is also a discussion of "what is reality" and how human beings become human, a focus on these essential questions reminiscent of Dostoevsky and Borges.

Dr. Snaut: In my opinion, we have lost our sense of the cosmic. The ancients understood it perfectly. They never would have asked why or what for. Remember the myth of Sisyphus?
