Reporter: Do you think this girly theme is suitable for you?
Director: When I read the script for the first time, I immediately fell in love with this story, because for me I miss the days of a girl very much, and the theme of the script immediately reminded me of John Hughes ( John Hughes) those films that tell the story of a 14-year-old girl. I like it. The girls take turns to play at a friend's house away from home, so that they can have all kinds of adventures. Of course, in those days there room comedy, for girls, do not do homework, happy with the way to make yourself slowly grow and change, it is a Dream .
Reporter: For you, is there a big difference between filming adult-themed films and filming teenage girls?
Director: I think this is the same thing. When I talked to these little girls about the roles of the film, I felt that there was no difference between talking to other adult actors. I don’t have to talk to them in a superior tone, and I don’t have to play games with them to cultivate friendship. I can tell them directly what I need them to perform. They did a great job with the kind of effect and what content to express in this scene. In this way, they will feel like adult actors and put this feeling into the filming. Almost everyone acted very well. Like I said, I think they do better than adult actors, because they know from their teachers and parents how to do things responsibly, but often many adults will disdain to behave on set.
Reporter: It seems that you get along well with them?
Director: Yes, we often laugh out loud together. Before the filming officially started, it took two weeks to rehearse, which is very rare for a film. This period of time allowed me to get together with these little girls and actors. During the rehearsal, no one else, no one was waiting for us to finish the exercise, no camera was set up, and there would not be more than 100 people standing nearby and pointing. These girls and I were rehearsing in a quiet room. I gradually got acquainted with their respective personalities and arranged corresponding roles for them in the film.
