Shamaran is particularly good at shaping the invisible fear of nature to oppress and influence people, so we really know very little about aliens, because what he wants to express is not this. It was the bond of a family's destiny and the symptom that was finally pieced together into a code, as if the original fear of alien invasion had amplified this power to a higher level.
