After successfully catching the Duke of Blackwood, the serial murderer, detective Holmes and his assistant, Dr. Watson, seem to have settled another important case. Three months later, when Holmes felt very boring because he had not had a new case for a long time, Watson proposed to Miss Mary Mossdam and was about to move out of the shared house with him at 221B Baker Street, London, which made him feel even more depressed. At the same time, he received an invitation to observe Blackwood's execution. Before being sent to the gallows, Blackwood declared that the murder would continue to occur and that he would return after his death to rekindle the fire of crime.
On the third day after Blackwood was hanged, people discovered that his grave had become a mess, and even witnesses claimed to have seen him walk out of the coffin. Holmes had to re-investigate the case with Watson. As clues were discovered, he was gradually introduced into a complex network intertwined with murder, lies, and even black magic. This time, with his superior intelligence, in addition to having to show his fists, he also needs to uncover a big secret that concerns the safety of the entire United Kingdom.
