"Shadow" is a Zen-like martial arts man who explores personal consciousness. "Shadow" is moist, as if growing out of water, with a strong texture of a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. The film’s narrative is simple and clear, but it also has relatively profound ethical expressions. The storytelling has both the genes of Eastern opera and the methods of Western theater. The first half and the second half are silent and moving. The quieter the front, the more intense the back. The two characters Chao Deng performed the age difference, as well as the two feelings of scheming and manipulation. It is really hard for the audience not to appreciate his performance. Hu Jun's performance showed the grace as a whole. Sun Li's performance needs too much internalization, and still lacks some levels.
