The filming took 69 days.
Originally, Victoria Beckham intended to make a cameo in the film, but she finally had to give up this opportunity.
The film was shot in the Silver Cup Studio in Queens, New York City, using the filming location of the original HBO TV series.
In fact, the film began in 2004-shortly after the end of the TV series of the same name, but due to labor disputes between actor Kim Cattrall and HBO, the filming was only temporarily suspended. The tutu that Kelly wore when she was posing as a model with her female companions when preparing to move in the film was the one Kelly wore at the reception celebrating the broadcast of the original series on HBO.
The wedding dress Kelly wore when she got married was designed by Vivienne Westwood. The three black, blue, and red dresses of her three bridesmaids were made by designer Zach Person.
There is a note in the film reminding Kelly to wear a wedding dress. That note was written by the designer of the wedding dress, Vivienne Westwood.
In order to prevent the content of the film from leaking prematurely, Sarah Jessica Parker made a fake cover outside of her script. The title of the film written on the fake cover is "National Park" and the director's name is Jehi Laski.
Sarah Jessica Parker has a red belt in the film. She likes this belt very much and wears it often. In the end, the costume designer of the film had to remind Sarah Jessica Parker to untie this belt and return it to the crew.
According to the film’s stylist Patricia Field, the large bouquet of wreaths that Smith bought for Samantha in the film cost $50,000.
In the auction scene, director Michael Patrick King originally wanted a paddle with 69 written on it, but the crew did not find such a paddle. In the end, it had to be replaced by a paddle with 969 written on it .
