  1. In order to design the residence of Dewey Fein in the film, the film set designer used to refer to the photos of the lead singer Mike Jacobsapartment to study the real life of the unfamous musician. As a result, posters of The Sex Pistols, The Who and Evil Jake on the wall of Jacobs's residence also appeared in Fein's bedroom.
  2. Stephen Freys was expected to direct the film.
  3. The director of the film, Richard Linklater, appeared in Fein’s past photos of the band.
