The film has a certain degree of technical completion, which enhances certain elements of the scene. Although the creation of the sense of fear in the whole film is a bit intermittent, the ups and downs are not so much connected with the overall storyline, but rather the unique effect of each story. The film is adapted by brothers Dan Hagerman and Kevin Hagerman. Some of the political content may not necessarily resonate with international audiences, especially the film "The Undead Zombie", which is the first book. One of the most famous stories, the re-election of US President Richard Nixon can be glimpsed on the background TV. Nevertheless, this does not prevent the audience from enjoying the film, and the setting of this special historical period is a very good element that distinguishes it from many modern horror movies. In modern horror films, the existence of technology must be dealt with and displayed in some way.
The efforts of young actors in the film are a very important emotional connection point. Although the performance is not bad, it is true that some characters are portrayed too simplistically, so that the whole movie presents the feeling of posing and setting. The director and his collaborators did not try to use various methods to make the film camp postmodern. On the contrary, with the soundtrack of composers Marco Bertrami and Anna Drubich, they tend to focus on the story itself. This streamlined fear is very much in line with the essence of the campfire story. Every noise brings a stinging horror and a sense of expectation.
