The four American soldiers who escaped from the guns of the Germans slaughtering prisoners of war were trapped behind the German positions. They walked hard in the woods to find a place to hide. German-speaking Deakin heard the news that the British plane was shot down during the German mutual dialogue, so they rescued the British reconnaissance plane pilot Wenli. Wenli had important information photographed on the plane and must be sent to the Allied Command immediately. This made Gunderson a decision to escort Wenli through the German blockade. They trudged hard in the blizzard and encountered small groups of German troops from time to time. In a state of high mental stress, Dickon became ill. He suffered from war syndrome. Dickon screamed and ran like crazy. With the efforts of Gunderson and Gould, Dickon slowly calmed down.
