"Requiem" emphatically explores the psychology of people in the event of fluctuations in mystery, so the film is also known as another version of "The Exorcist"   . With calm language and gloomy tone, the film successfully conveys how conservative and pious spiritual power makes people crazy. But the film did not criticize religion, which can be seen from the heroine's effort to touch the cross.  .
"Requiem" is an elegy dedicated to unfortunate girls. As a film describing psychology, the overall atmosphere of the film is depressed and lonely. In the film, both the alienated family relationship and the passionate pilgrimage have a realism. Since the film was shot with 16mm film, the characteristics of the image are more obvious. Except for the necessary pop songs, there is no sound to create atmosphere and effects in the film. In religious scenes such as pilgrimages and enchantments, the film also uses documentary shots. Relying on this documentary style as a backing, "Requiem" does not appear to be sensational or tearful. However, this style makes the pain of the characters in the film more real. The film calmly peels off the moral cloak of "the war between heaven and man", outlines the original appearance of human nature, and deeply reveals reflection and compassion.  .
