"Repo! The Genetic Opera" adopts a style that integrates many iconic characters, scenes and even plots from many horror films. The erosive and dark scenes are accompanied by bloody to nauseating behind-the-scenes transactions. Murderous urban forests everywhere, ubiquitous organ trading, and the apocalyptic atmosphere of a zombie movie, the innocent and ignorant girl instantly transforms into a haunted den and ghost nest where demons dance in an unfamiliar world. The film exudes weird visual perception everywhere, but such a bloody story is performed shockingly in the form of an opera, accompanied by MTV-like montage switching techniques, which is weird to the end.
The art of the film is quite dark comic movie style. Under the special effects, the darkness is like splashing ink and waving a pen, arbitrarily sketched and rendered. Blocks of property markets towered up like pieces of paper, and there was no sense of fulfillment that lingered during the walk, but the boundless illusion that made people hesitate, just like the panic and confusion of the girl in the film. The blood plasma horror sublimated from the "Saw" series turned into a ghost-like visual impact, sticky and scarlet. A little red in the dark, even if it is dark red as it used to be, it must be red and thrilling.
Since it is "Repo! The Genetic Opera", the music must be the first element of the film. The music in the film is a fusion of rap, R&B, electronics and rock.
