The film’s story is set in Glasgow in the summer of 1973, and the film is regarded as the greatest appearance of modern Scottish cinema. The film is based on Robert Bresson's film as a clue, telling the wonderful life of a young man after his parents moved to the outskirts of the city. Lynn Ramch’s films have won 11 awards at multiple film festivals (Bordeaux, Bratislava (Bratislava), Chicago , Edinburgh, Vlaanderen (Flanders), London) and the British Film Academy Awards. It's amazing. "San Francisco Chronicle" commented that "the film shows the purity of art through the stare of the star." After the film was released, filmmakers all over the world cast olive branches to Ramsey, who was studying at the National Film Academy in London.
Although the film was shot in English, the film was released in the United States with English subtitles due to its strong Scottish accent.
