8-year-old Joe lives in Brooklyn, New York. There was a burglary in the next-door neighbor's house, and the thieves answered a phone call before they left, answering exactly what the radio asked. The next day, a truckload of furniture was delivered to the door, much to the surprise and delight of the neighbors. Memories of the golden age of radio begin with this hilarious surprise. There are many stories around Xiao Qiao, some related to radio, some not related to radio, all the memories synthesize the "Golden Age" in Xiao Qiao's mind.
Each of Xiao Qiao's family has its own personality, hobbies, and interesting points, and life is full of fun. Xiao Qiao is fascinated by the adventure shows on the radio, embezzles the donations he has raised, and is beaten severely by his parents. My aunt was on a date with a man, and when he heard Orson Welles' famous "Mars Landing" broadcast, the man panicked and left his aunt and ran for his life.
The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Xiao Qiao and his friends stayed on the roof all day long, hoping to see the submarine with binoculars. The submarine didn't see it, but saw a naked woman who later learned that she was the school's ambulance teacher.
In the nightclub, there was a girl named Sally who sold cigarettes. She was dating a guy on the roof and was found by the boss and lost her job. Sally later meets a rogue Rocco who shoots her new boss and helps her become a radio announcer. Sally ends up being a radio presenter and takes Joe's idolized radio performers to watch the fireworks
