Grimm (Bill Murray), his girlfriend Phyllis (Geena Davis), and their friend Loomis (Randy Quaid) decide to rob the bank. When Grimm pretended to be a clown and entered the bank to rob, no one there took him seriously. When Grimm successfully implemented the planned robbery step by step with the help of friends, they found that taking the looted money from the bank was much easier than imagined! Now, the only thing they have to do is to take their money out of the city and out of the airport. Although they have enough time to prepare, it seems that God has deliberately opposed them, and their troubles one after another
