"The Horror" is not only one of Alfred Hitchcock's most skilled works, but also the pioneering work of psychological horror thrillers. The value of this film is firstly that it opened up a film genre, and criminal behavior caused by mental problems has since become the theme of the film. Compared with the horror film that scares the audience behind the door, "Scary" has an impact on human psychology and spiritual level. Analysis makes it possible to enter the room and become a classic. The value of "Scary" is that it has received wide acclaim from the audience while possessing artistic value, and it has shown more and more extraordinary value over time.
"Scary" is an unprecedentedly successful horror movie, many of which have become classics in movie history. In "Victorius", the most sneaky tricks are expressed in a more subtle way. This film fully demonstrates director Hitchcock's keen insight into the audience's psychological state and changing trends. A large number of subjective shots in the film make the audience feel substituting and psychological identification; "The Terror" has also won the audience's recognition.
The most memorable thing in "Scary" is the classic bathroom murder scene. This scene not only became one of the scariest scenes in film history, but was also included in the textbooks of the Film Academy as a classic example. Although the murder scene in the bathroom does not have a scene where a sharp knife is inserted into the flesh, it allows the film to enter an extremely tense and terrifying environment, which is entirely the result of the superb use of the lens language. The clip of Marilyn being hacked to death by a mental patient in the bathroom consists of more than 70 shots with an average duration of no more than 3 seconds. Under Hitchcock’s methodical editing, this shot is not only short and depressing, but also through lighting and sceneries. Don't switch, let the audience feel the atmosphere shrouded in fear.
