"Pride" is different from other gay movies that emphasize sex scenes, but instead focuses on mutual assistance and gay values. The whole film not only truly portrays the British government's suppression of miners' protests, but also brilliantly presents important pioneering works in the history of the British gay movement. From the beginning of the discord between the gay group and the miner group, to understanding each other, to the process of mutual tolerance and mutual assistance, the film is also delicately inked. The film is warm and touching and transcends sexual discrimination
. In the film, comrades are no longer vulnerable victims, but powerful heroes and defenders. The screenwriter and director break through the conventions, break through the stereotypes, and make a niche theme film. Brought into the mainstream cinema. Although the film does not have a central character and is oriented towards group play, each character is vivid and unforgettable. All in all, "Pride" not only embraces joy and sorrow, but also discards existing prejudices
