Phone Booth movie plot

Stu is an ordinary advertising salesman in New York. This day was also an ordinary day. He walked into an ordinary telephone booth and picked up an ordinary telephone receiver. However, this call was fatal. A gloomy voice on the phone told him that if he dared to hang up and leave the phone booth, he would be bloodied on the spot.
Stu took this threat for granted as a prank, until he was about to walk out of the phone booth, a cold shot, and an innocent passerby fell, the terror really hit his mind: all this is true. The gunfire attracted the attention of local police officers. They came to the phone booth, suspecting that Stu was the murderer, but hid in fear of sin, and ordered him to come out. Of course, Stu's explanation did not satisfy them, but made the police more suspicious. The surrounding people gathered more and more, and the sensitive media began to gather outside the phone booth, turning it into a live broadcast scene.
All this is just a bad start. On the way to the scene, there are Stu's wife and his secret lover outside. These two women who don't know each other are destined to face an encounter.

Discussing this kind of film too deeply will only contradict itself...Too many people pay attention to the so-called meaning, which makes me feel embarrassed...I think the story of this movie is very clear and the techniques are superb, and these are enough to give high marks. ... the other ones are just gimmicks that the plot needs

Is he Colin Farrell? I watched it a few years ago, and honestly didn't recognize it at the time. The finale is the same as any other Hollywood movie. Preparing for a sequel?

Phone Booth quotes

  • The Caller: Deception can't go unrewarded.

  • The Caller: Look at these guys. You can smell the fear.

    Stu: 10 cops.

The Caller: This reminds me of 'nam.

    Stu: Vietnam?

    The Caller: Yes, Vietnam.

Stu: I was too young to go, but I've seen pictures.

The Caller: Well, pictures can't do it, Stu. You can't imagine the fear, the stench, pigs eating napalm-charred bodies. Children leaving grenades in your boots.

Stu: [sputtering] A-and then you got blamed for the war.

The Caller: I came home and people spat on me.

Stu: This countr - this country owes you an apology. Look, I just had this vision of you coming back from the war, you know. Inured to the killing, not able to get work, isolated. I think that could be made into a pretty affecting story and one that, you know, everyone understands. And I think cops...

    [the Caller starts chuckling]

Stu: I think they're on the side of vets.

The Caller: You are pathetic, Stu. Why don't you wake up? "Napalm-charred bodies"? I'd have to be 50 to be in that war!
