Pearl Harbor Explosion scene
2021-10-20 17:21
In order to create the most spectacular and thrilling airstrike scene, special effects coordinator John Fraser decided to detonate 6 warships with 700 stick explosives, 2,000-foot detonating cord and 4,000 gallons of gasoline. For safety reasons, Fraser prepared thousands of fire hoses and fire extinguishers at the shooting site to prevent the fire from getting out of control. All crew members involved in the shooting must wear gas masks. Director Michael Bay has carefully installed 12 widescreen cameras, one of which was shot by him himself, and a scene with 30 stuntmen, 90 extras, 9 airplanes, a camera boat, and countless special effects technicians. The co-constructed scene was completed in one go in 7 seconds, and all the plans that were carried out at the same time did not miss out, and the crew prepared for this scene for 7 months.
