Paycheck background creation

The filming budget of "Paycheck" is more than 100 million U.S. dollars. The director of the film was originally targeted at Brett Reiner, who is famous for "Red Dragon", but he changed his mind temporarily and took over the directorship of the new version of "Superman". He changed his position and finally signed John Woo , a Hong Kong director who is good at directing action movies . This became Wu's first sci-fi work after he entered Hollywood.
One of the most classic styles in John Woo’s violent aesthetics is the shot of two people pointing their pistols at each other’s heads. Shooting this shot is the most challenging moment for weapon instruction—the risk taken when shooting this shot. It is huge, and no difference is allowed.
Director John Woo and producer Terence Chang and some of their most trusted collaborators made "Paycheck", including ASC photographer Jeffrey Kimball, weapon director Locke Gallotti, and stuntman Greg Smoz With Brian Smoz, the film was all shot in Vancouver, Canada (originally planned to be shot in Seattle), and the film crew took four months to complete the filming in the Vancouver studio. The film crew invited the art director William Sandell who had worked with many outstanding directors.
In order to enhance the action shots and give the audience a sense of being on the scene, Brian Smoz adopted a trimming technique and used remote mechanical equipment to shoot. For example, the camera can be mounted on a descender. Let the camera fall quickly and steadily from a high place; there is also a mobile shooting arm, which allows the camera to overlook the entire street scene at a relative height parallel to the city street, creating a real sense of urgency. All the chase scenes in "Paycheck" were shot in real life, and a car chase on the streets of Vancouver was the most dramatic scene for the stunt department.
