Parker Classic characters in novels

Parker is a fictional character in a novel whose author is Donald E. Westlake , but when publishing the novel, Westlake likes to use the pen name Richard Stark. Parker is an outsider who often engages in illegal activities. But when he did evil, he was extremely principled. There are only two principles of his: don't rob the person without wealth, and don't hurt the innocent person.
In 1962, Westlake wrote the novel "The Hunter", which was the first appearance of the character Parker. In the following thirty years, Wislake wrote 26 other novels with Parker as the protagonist or supporting role intermittently. Several of these novels have been photographed by Hollywood, and have been adapted into movies one after another. However, Wislake has been hesitant to sell the copyright of his novels to Hollywood producers during his lifetime, so there are not many film works directly adapted from his novels. Many films just "borrow" a character like Parker from his novels, and the stories and themes are far from each other. The most famous of these works is " American Made " shot by Jean-Luc Godard in 1966 . At the end of 2008, after the death of Wislake, his widow Abby and his former friend, Alexander, began to sort out Wislake’s estate. Alexander found his good friend John McLoughlin to take Wis The novel "Flash Fire" written by Lake in 2000 was adapted into a screenplay and successfully found a producer and director. Thus, this film called "Parker", adapted from Wislake's novel, embarked on the journey of shooting.
