The film tells the stories of three rural women in The Republic of India  .
Rani, who was a child married at the age of 15, never got the love of her husband. After her husband passed away, she became a widow at a young age. Since then, she has been living a hard life of serving her mother-in-law and raising children. The feelings are moist, and everyone thinks that she should be content with the status quo   .
La Qiao's life is a different story. She has been married for many years, but she has never been pregnant. For this reason, her husband always takes anger at her from time to time and beats her up. She has to bear it silently   .
Bieqi Li worked as a dancer in a dance troupe and engaged in prostitution in private. For this reason, she was excluded from the mainstream society, and she was even prohibited from participating in any ceremonies   .
Three women, three lives, we found that whether they are married or not, have husbands, have children or not, there is no exception to the misfortune, this misfortune all stems from the traditional concept of oppression of women, Rani is a child marriage , Widows are victims of temperance, Laqiao is a typical representative of women being used as reproductive machines, and Bickley embodies the traditional deprivation of women's sexual rights   .
